What You Should Know
What our customer should know about our part-worn tyres.
All tyres are safe and always have over 50% of their lifespan remaining.
We only resell tyres that have a minimum of 75% and a maximum of 90% life.
These are graded and sold accordingly.
All tyres go through a 5-stage inspection process:
No tyres have sidewall damage, or have had previous repairs to non-repairable areas. All tyres purchased are fitted and balanced free of charge and have new rubber valves fitted. Our environmentally friendly footprint sees your old waste tyres disposed of in-house and exported abroad following UK Guidelines on Waste.
-
Tread Depth
the depth of the tread is measured and those with enough are then graded for resale
-
Condition of tyre
the tyre is inspected for scuffs, bumps, cracking, and tears on all sides. Any previous repairs are inspected to ensure they have been carried out only in permitted areas. The tyre is removed from the rim and inspected internally for any signs of damage to internal nylon threads. The tyre is checked for any signs of previous overinflation which can affect the integrity of the tyre.
-
Inflation
the tyre is inflated and tested underwater to ensure it is sound. This also allows us to see if there is any damage unseen during the visual inspection
-
Repaired
any required repairs are identified and carried out
-
Wheel balancing
all wheels are checked and balanced prior being included
in our stock to ensure smooth running, fuel economy, and driveability.
Although we do not manufacture the tyres, we stand by the quality of those we sell with confidence. No other used tyre shop can boast this.
